This whole painting activity was seen to be enjoyed by children a lot, an observation made from the number of smiles and happy noises during the activity. The children all take turns in creating their interesting cabbage prints on their papers, which were an improvement over previous painting efforts in terms of tidiness and creativity. The children were seen to have acquired an idea of the colour, texture and shape of the cabbage, showing slightly improved cognition and improved retention of minor details, which is a big step for their ability level.

The learning from this session for all the children was that they were able to identify if cabbage belongs to the fruit or vegetable category. All of them were seen to be developing their fine motor, creativity and social interaction skills. We identified that the children need to be taught about some properties of solids like softness, hardness in their next learning session.
